Safety

Safety Program

  • Pyramid Acoustics is serious about safety and we are proud of our record.
  • Because safety is very important we have created a safety program where we define: standards, basic responsibilities, guidelines, rules and regulations for our employees and working conditions.
  • Pyramid Acoustics believes that no job or task is more important than the employee’s health and safety.  If a job presents a potential safety or health threat,  Pyramid Acoustics will take the appropriate steps to ensure that the work is performed safely.
  • Pyramid Acoustics  achieves employee safety and health by employing a qualified safety person, making regular jobsite inspections, enforcing the use of safety equipment, following safety procedures and rules, on-going safety training (tool box talks, CPR and First Aid, Lift and Equipment training), and enforcing safety rules.   Pyramid Acoustics exists because of its employees; we must protect them.  Every employee is regularly updated in safety procedures.
  • Safety is more important than ever today.  Working safely improves productivity by cutting down lost work days due to injuries.  The most important reason to work safely is to avoid serious injuries.  Pyramid Acoustics wants every employee to go home to his/her friends and family every night.   We work with the general contractor’s existing safety program.
  • “In terms of effectiveness, safe working conditions at construction jobsites are best achieved when the prime or general contractor assumes his rightful leadership role and takes primary responsibility to (a) establish, (b) coordinate, (c) monitor, and (d) generally manage the overall basic safety program content and structure for all parties and persons at his jobsite. Undefined authority among the parties involved related to jobsite safety is not a workable arrangement for such an important matter that literally effects the life and limb of each and every worker on the jobsite.” (Nelson & Associates, 1993)
