Acoustical Baffles/ Panels

Acoustical Baffles are used to reduce echo and reverberation in applications, small and large. These panels are manufactured from various products including glass fiber, acoustical board, resin, wood and other various materials.  Often these materials are covered with an acoustically transparent fabric.  (That is, they let the sound pass to the level of absorption while maintaining a "good look")   Often times the edges on these decorative wall panels are chemically hardened and offer several edge design choices.  There are multiple and diverse sound panels.  One should not think that he has seen everything from looking at one company or product online.   These absorbers are suitable for all applications including offices, recording, broadcast, worship facilities, schools, gymnasiums, museums, auditoriums, theaters or any application that requires an acoustical solution.   These sound control panels and baffles can be very attractive and functionable.  The following are sound baffles we installed in Zeeland High School.   These panels are often expensive.  Depending on availability of cloth and materials it is possible to make your own.  The real trick is finding out what you need to get the right result within your budget and time allotted.  For more information on additional panels see:  Acoustics First,  Armstrong, Acoustical Surfaces Inc., Tectum or Wall and Ceiling Panels.  Google Images Acoustical Baffles
